Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium (DMEM), is a variation of Minimal Essential medium that contains approximately four times as much of the vitamins and amino acids present in the original formula and two to four times as much glucose. Additionally, it contains iron and phenol red. DMEM is suitable for most types of cells, including human, monkey, hamster, rat, mouse, cells.
