Description
GeneRuler 1kb DNA Ladder is supplied in gel loading buffer at total DNA concentration of 0.1ug/ul and can be directly applied on to agarose gel. This DNA Ladder is prepared from six different plasmids, containing pUC, lamda phage and yeast genome sequences.
The DNA Ladder contains the following 14 discrete fragments (in base pairs): 10000,8000,6000,5000,4000,
Supplied in Gel Loading Buffer
10mM Tris-HCI (pH7.6), 10mM EDTA.
0.015%bromophenol blue, 0.015% xylene cyanol FF and 10% glycerol.
6x Loading Dye Solution
0.09% bromophenol blue, 0.09% xylene cyanol FF, 60% glycerol and 60mM EDTA.

Agarose gel electrophoretic analysis of homogeneity of restriction endonucleases fragmentation patterns.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE
Vortex gently just prior to use.
Do not heat before loading
Apply 6ul of DNA Ladder per line of mini agarose gel.
Following electrophoretic separation on agarose gel the DNA bands can be visualized by ethidium bromide staining.
1ug of the GeneRuler 1kb DNA Ladder, ready-to-use, can be contains ≡310ng (≡31%) of the 3000bp fragment.
